GOD IS ALWAYS PRESENT AND FAITHFUL - JUBILEE OF 60 YEARS OF RELIGIOUS LIFE OF SISTER MICHÈLE LIATZOU

On July 23, at the end of the Spiritual Retreat, with joy and fervour Sister Elisabeth Varikkakukzhyil, Provincial Superior, the councillors and all the sisters organized my Jubilee of 60 years of religious life. The celebration was presided over by Father Henri Laudrin, ofm who had animated the Spiritual Retreat.

60 years of religious life seems like a dream! I ask myself: how did I get to this important moment in the gift of my life to the Lord? The answer is simple, God is always present and faithful with His grace and His love.

One day, after 20 years of consecrated life, my mother confided to me that she had always prayed and desired that one of her children would be called to give her life to God. Her wish has been granted and she continues to protect me from heaven.

Of course, I have had difficulties all my life, in my mission, on the part of my sisters of different cultures and origins and at the same time I have not missed health problems. I have overcome all this with courage and optimism, always counting on the presence of God Most High, the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and the support of my sisters who will continue to assist me until the end of my life.

In gratitude, I praise and bless God for His faithfulness. My thanks to Fr Henri Laudrin, who reminded us of the greatness of our call to follow Christ, to my sisters in the Province, in particular to the superiors, to whom I assure my prayers for each of them.

Thanks for the animation of the Holy Mass, the beautiful decorations, the good meal, the gifts offered by my sisters with affection and delicacy; I feel indebted to each one and will continue to live the project that God has for me since my birth.
